What is the best way to quit using chewing tobacco?

My boyfriend has decided to stop using chewing tobacco. I want to be as supportive as possible, as I know it is not going to be easy for him. Does anyone have any helpful ideas or advice to assist him with quitting?
Answer:
Chew gum instead.
Smoke cigs.
Keep it out of your mouth.
Cut off his lips!!
Get a nicotene patch and some beef jerky.
show him this website.my husband dipped for 3 years and I got him to quit.http://whyquit.com/whyquit/a_gruen.html...
maybe he should get a nicotine patch for withdrawal, or the gum or even check with his doctor for the pills. he should drink lots of water to get the nicotine out, then just work at changing his habits. If he chewed when he was doing something in particular, then he should try doing it some other way or replace the chewing sensation with gum, sour candy, sugarless candy, suck licoricedont remind him about it. the nicotine will be out of his system in about 3-4 days , then he just has to break the cues or habit part of it. and if he should go back to it, tell him to try to quit again, you just keep trying, theres also the cancer association that has help on quitting tobacco, and hypnosis in some areas.good luck to him
chew a lot of gum,it will help. good luck:)
Drink a lot of chamomile teas. And catnip tea. And or every time he has a craving drink a large glass of water. All three of the fore mentioned sooth the nerves.
Nicotine replacement, chewing gum and other common methods are ineffective and have a high rate of relapse. The best method to get off of tobacco is to use an herbal substitute that will releave the oral fixation but without the nicotine and tobacco. Once off the nicotine, he will naturally slow down the use of the herbal product until he is free. The best one available is Hooch Snuff, which you can get online at http://www.hoochsnuff.com/. It is the most similar to tobacco in feel and taste.
